Screenprinting Workshops in Munich
This course is designed for anyone who wants to screen print their ideas onto paper or textiles and has little to no experience. Throughout the course, you will learn the entire printing process. Each step will be explained and carried out by the participants themselves. The maximum number of participants is 8, and courses take place with at least 5 registrations confirmed 24 hours in advance.
Introduction to Screen Printing
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to screen printing and the Diazzo Press Munich studio. You will be introduced to the equipment used throughout the day, as well as the fundamental theory behind the process. You will have the opportunity to prepare and coat your own screens individually, which you will use later in the day for your personal print series.
Creating Artwork
You will be guided through various digital and analog processes necessary to transform your own image into a usable screen printing film, which will later be used to expose a screen. Don't worry if you're not familiar with Photoshop or computers – we will go through the techniques slowly and ensure everyone understands the theoretical foundations.
Exposure
In this step, the screen printing film is exposed onto the coated screen to create the stencil that will be used for printing in the afternoon. The workshop focuses on single-color printing, so you will need one screen. You will become familiar with how our exposure unit works and learn how to develop your screens.
Printing
Once all preparations are complete, it’s time to print! You will learn how to set up your screen on a printing table and the important printing techniques. Afterward, you can create your own small series of single-color prints.

This course is ideal if you already have screen printing experience or have completed the BASIC Course. Over two days, a two-color design is interpreted and executed. There is more time to address individual needs and questions, as well as more room for theoretical explanations and practical experiments. The maximum number of participants is 6, and courses take place with at least 4 participants.
Day 1
On the first day, we focus on creating artwork and looking at examples of how multi-color ideas can be implemented. With guidance, all participants develop a design and corresponding print templates, and we prepare both the templates and screens for printing.
Day 2
On the second day, you will learn how to set up a two-color design on the printing table with millimeter precision and print it accurately.
What to Bring
To participate in this course, you must bring a laptop with installed Photoshop and have basic Photoshop knowledge. You are welcome to bring your design with two layers in PSD format or as separate JPEG/PDF files saved at 300 dpi resolution.

Workshops and seminars are offered for children, youth, and adult groups, where a collaborative printing project is developed and implemented. Participants include social and educational institutions, private individuals, and companies.
The duration and content of the courses are discussed in advance and adapted to individual needs. The structure is generally based on the BASIC Course but can be simplified or specialized accordingly. The focus is always on the shared joy of the creative process. By working together in the course, the initial ideas become tangible results for all participants.
